Compact Electric Pickup Truck

The largest source of greenhouse gas emissions

While the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions is from burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat and transportation, vehicles account for 51% of the sources of CO2 emissions for a typical household according to the US Department of Energy; and light duty vehicles, 63% of all emissions from transportation according to the US Department of Transportation.

Pickup trucks rank the top two best selling vehicles, one out of six vehicles sold, in the United States, but an electric pickup truck has yet to be put on mass production, as pickup trucks are traditionally designed to deal with heavy loads and tough terrain that is a tough challenge to heavy batteries.

A compact pickup truck

In reality, pickup trucks are used, most of the time, as running errands for family or business, back and forth to work or take the kids to school, but, occasionally over the vacation, to tow a camping trailer to the mountain, or in business, to haul cargo trailers. Today, an average American family relies on two or more cars, a zero-emissions compact pickup truck, not just, helps impair carbon emissions to sustain our environments, but also, well answers their needs for daily community commuting or urban last mile delivery.
